Внедрение в диагностику и лечение щитовидной железы радиоактивных изотопов йода и технеция послужило толчком к развитию всей ядерной медицины и тераностики. Аппаратное обеспечение ядерной медицины прошло долгий путь от простых счетчиков Гейгера-Мюллера до современных аппаратов с возможностью молекулярной визуализации ПЭТ и ОФЭКТ. Ядерная тиреоидология на сегодняшний день является важным прикладным инструментом высокотехнологичной диагностики и лечения заболеваний щитовидной железы.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The history of radionuclide diagnostics began with the first experiments on radioactive isotopes at the beginning of the 20th century. The introduction of radioactive isotopes of iodine and technetium into thyroid diagnostics and treatment was the start of the development of all nuclear medicine and theranostics. The hardware for nuclear medicine has come a long way from simple Geiger-Muller counters to modern machines with molecular imaging capabilities PET and SPECT.
