Дифференцированный рак щитовидной железы(РЩЖ) составляет 90–95% тиреоидного рака и около 1% от всех злокачественных опухолей человека. Среди узловых образований ЩЖ рак выявляется в 4,7–5,0% наблюдений, при этом в детском и подростковом возрасте – в 52,1%. Заболеваемость варьирует от 0,5 до 10,0 новых случаев на 100 000 населения в год.
